| SUMMARY |
| The City of Danville hired Ken Danter of Economic Development Strategies, LLC to conduct a comprehensive housing study and strategy for our community. The study examined existing conditions, current demand, projected demand, and other data related to our housing market, and compared it to peer cities. Mr. Danter will present his findings and provide recommendations to help encourage additional housing development and restoration. |
| BACKGROUND |
| As is the case in many locations, the housing market in Danville is changing. It is important that the City take a proactive approach to meeting the housing needs of those who live here and/or may consider moving here. |
| RECOMMENDATION |
| Staff seeks to brief the City Council on information contained in the report and receive feedback regarding recommendations to encourage new and redevelopment of existing housing. |
